Mount Barker VFRS would like to remind vehicle drivers that the recent wet weather can make driving hazardous and that all care should be taken when the roads are slippery.

Mount Barker VFRS Members were mobilised to a vehicle rollover with possible entrapment just before midnight on Wednesday, August 6. A crew of ten turned out to the incident on Albany Highway, about 4km south of town.

The Light Tanker and Rescue Trailer arrived to the scene at 12:05am where local Police were already in attendance. The Urban Tanker arrived shortly afterwards, followed by the local St John Ambulance volunteers.

The only person in the vehicle was out on arrival and suffered minor injuries.

Crews made safe the scene and were back on station by 12:35am.

Mount Barker VFRS would like to remind vehicle drivers and passengers to wear their seatbelts. To not do so is not only illegal but also prevents serious injuries in the event of a crash.
